Yo, just wondering if there's a rough date for the update yet? Is there going to be another round of voting after this one? Need to know how long I have to finish packing up all my good stuff and making it safe for the reboot. Also what is a soft reset? Cheers Sgooder Please read the entire first post of this thread. It explains all about what a soft reset is. There will be a third votes between the top two choices from this thread, after all the votes are verified to be from actual players. Will take maybe two day. If we end up doing a soft reset, it will be announced with plenty of time to pack up your things. The time limit here is not yet decided.

PLEASE No RESET I HAVE 4 years of stuff on here and these are best builds on minecraft ever. IT makes more sense to just do a nether update and not expand the map because all the content is in the nether not the overworld PLS No RESET I BEG The thing at current moment is either we reset overworld now or we reset after next 6months of more hardwork = more loss for everyone. Looking at size of overworld at current stage it's pretty clear things can't keep going and will have to bring Thanos at some moment to simplex, I do agree with ya got lots of builds to loss currently but if not reset even on this update there will be even more builds going poof soon #Thanos is inevitable #Odin is no more sadly

i think that there should defiantly be restrictions on what you can bring over, in my opinion i think that there should be no diamond items allowed ! will make it much more fun and also balance the economy into a level playing field, i think locked map arts should be able to come etc but think about if a new player has a stack or so of diamonds and a rich player brings an inven of Dia blocks it would just be unfair and create an avoidable class divide.

There is no way we can go over the inventory of all players, to check what they brought over. It's either all or nothing basically.

There is no way we can go over the inventory of all players, to check what they brought over. It's either all or nothing basically. What SnuRRe said. Also, respectfully: this argument about a "huge wealth divide" somehow being unfair to new players is a great example of not thinking through an argument. How is the playing field right now, today, when a new player joins, and there are established players who worked for weeks (or months) to get where they are? Is there a big difference between them? Yep. Does it stifle the new player's chance to play? Nope, not a bit. Those players who have a lot? They worked hard to get it. Most of them had their first stack of diamonds within 2 weeks. Spoiler alert: they would have their first stack of diamonds -again- within 2 weeks (if not sooner) after a reset. And the new players who joined on that date (2 weeks after a reset)? Yep, there'd be a big difference between them, again. Would it stifle the new player's change to play? Nope, not a bit. All a full reset would accomplish is to erase the hard work that a handful of players have put into the game... for a little while. It would NOT "balance the economy into a level playing field" for more than a few days, or a few weeks at most. In other words, a huge pain for the players who have put the most into this server -- forcing them to repeat a grind they've already endured once -- with zero benefit for -anyone- at the end. There are other reasons someone might want a full reset. But in my opinion "leveling the playing field" is not one of them, because the logic doesn't hold up. If you think it through, all it would do is punish the players who have put the most into the server, and (by their hard work) gotten the most out of it; without giving new players any lasting advantage at all.

I agree with Snurre and Java. This is what I translate it to. "Hi I am a new player. I would like everybody to get down to my level, I don't care if they are veteran players for how many years. I would like them to start at the same level as me regardless of how much they worked for throughout the years. I am new and I have nothing so I want all the players to start at 0 just like me." I kinda sense the entitlement here, but like the admins/mods/helper and other players who worked hard and earned their stuff. It does NOT mean the economic will break!. We are starting from a blank slate. In other words everybody will be busy either exploring the nether and/or building their new base or whatnot. AS FOR I, i will be busy building my base and claim a nice location before going into the nether. There will be no shopping district, no trade halls, or w/e. Another thing I forgot to mention [maybe java said it] that few people will be busy digging for diamonds rarther than explore the nether. Also stated by Java, people will be gaining diamonds within few minutes into the game, hours, days, or weeks. It is NOT IMPOSSIBLE since it is a full new seed and a new start!!!!. Sorry if I came out ranting, but I get frustrated when new players come in and chime "FULL RESET" like WTF!!!! WE, the long time players on this server had and have worked hard to get to where we are, WE DO NOT DESERVE TO BE STRIPPED from our earnings. Earnings that we worked so hard to get!!. I might speak for other players or might now, but I speak for myself about this situation. I started on this server 3 years ago with nothing and worked hard to where I am today. I only had one or maybe 2 hand outs because I was new MC player and get lost very easily [thanks to Massani and Elena but I hate to admit here, I also got help from MarkE13]. I never ask to give me free stuff, never stole, maybe i grieved at the beginning [ I was a total noob], but I worked hard and the main chiefs [kitty, snurre, java, meehan] can see the logs!!!
Thank you, I hope you can understand from my point of view.
Enjoy your day!.
