This thread got really serious didn't it. My thoughts re-reading these posts is just that we all can only draw experiences from our one life. In my short life so far I've encountered simulated gambling many times before I was the legal age. Hell every year at school the whole class pools their money for the melbourne cup. And anyway, it never negatively affected my life or the lives around me one bit, so to me, gambling is not bad at all under the right conditions. Maybe I'd have a different opinion if I lived a life where gambling resulted in me losing many things, but I haven't, so I can't.
