Hi everyone -
So, I've never played SMP. I don't want to inadvertently step on anyone's toes, so there are a couple of questions I thought I'd ask:
1. In regards to Grief Prevention - say I'm wandering around, checking out what other people are building...is it possible to accidentally blow up a creeper and destroy their work?
2. In regards to Claiming Land - if building, for example, a small farm* for personal use / community use (respectively), is it necessary to officially "claim" land using the /vote command and in-game action? *i.e. non-automatic wheat / tree / sugar-cane etc.
Thanks in advance!

Hi maggie! Thanks for asking. First off it's not possible to accidentally blow up another person's work because a claimed area cannot be griefed by creepers. However, if someones work is not claimed (hopefully this isn't the case) this could certainly happen. Secondly, you do not need to use /vote to use any of the GriefPrevention commands. The only command gained from voting is the /rtp command used to randomly teleport to locations. By default the only person who can use/break blocks is the claim owner. If you wish, you can use the commands /trust, /accesstrust, /containertrust to give away different levels of permissions to other players who you trust. I recommend you, and anyone else who's new, to watch this youtube video to get the full information:

Thanks Meehan! The video definitely clarified a few things. I'm excited about what I've seen on the server so far.. looks like you have a very creative group of individuals here, and I look forward to working with you all!
