Over the last 2 days, I've lost a god shovel and pickaxe to the hoppers at the public enderman farm. I accidentally hit q while changing over from my sword to another tool. Please make it so that there's a way to retrieve items. I don't feel safe using the farm anymore. I may be a little clumsy, but I'm not the only one to lose something to it.

I lost my first OP sword to an end farm on another server some time back. After that, I switched my "throw" key from "Q" to "P" (i.e. the other side of the keyboard). Has never happened since. Whether or not the end farm is modified to help save lost items, you might strongly consider this. It's a tiny change, won't take you a minute to do, and will save you much heartache and frustration.

What Java said. Sometimes I wonder if the throw key being Q by default wasn't secretly some form of trolling.

Switched my drop key from "Q" to "`" years ago, I haven't dropped anything accidentally in PVP etc. since.

I dropped my shovel a few weeks ago. Panicked but then quickly got my mind together and started sorting through the collector chest. This was when the end farm still hadn't been touched up and had more chests in it. Luckily got my shovel back but changed my control scheme to prevent it happening again, much like the others had suggested.
