i was in the end at the building hight limmit...had my wings on and firework in hand...i fly alot i know how to do this...i jumped and pressed the space bar...but there was no gliding...i used rocket and nothing happened. so i fell to my death. i tped back in seconds and died again since my save point was a piller now....went back again and got help nothing. if its a glitch id like to know so that i wont go back....my infinty mending bow...wings....op god everything gone...i know i cant get any of them back but id like to know...was it a glitch? and if so i now know not to go back...all i ask is for answeres as to wgat happened thats all

Sounds like lag happened, causing your elytra to not activate, and you to fall to your death. Your stuff should have been there (perhaps scattered across an area) as long as you didn't keep the area loaded for 5 minutes though. If you stayed on the death screen for 5 minutes it will have despawned.

No. Dropped items only despawn if either the chunk the items are in are loaded for 5 minutes, or if the server restarts. They should be there in all other cases.

Elytra's do not activate above building limit. Since you jumped, you jumped above the limit, which blocked your elytra's from opening. Since this will not happen in single player (I tested) it's a pretty unfair scenario to be in... I'll see what I can do.

ok wellp...they werent there lolso now i started a shop eith good prices to help me get 500 diamonds so that i can buy a new infinty mending bow...the eeast i bought back and had a pair of wings in storage...down to my last lol...but ya is there a way to rell if its laggy? only way i can tell is if a creeper or zombie do a bay watch move and come to me at a snails pace...which they arent at in the end...i refuse to allow a lag to steal my god stuff again have dang it...and i did awsome not dieing as well...that was a flook...totaly messed up my total of days not dieing...ok that and flying creepers of course

There's no way to tell when your connection to the server will suddenly cuts out for a few seconds, but if the server is lagging there's a boatload of ways to tell, with some being more accurate than others. A good way to test is by jumping on a flat surface and trying to activate your elytra before you land again. If you can do that flight shouldn't be an issue.

If you can do that flight shouldn't be an issue. then jump test i oh i hear a helicopter brb...couldnt find them...anyways a jump test i shall do from on to test for lagging cuz i cant aford to lose another infinity mending bow thats was the only thing i wanted back the most...and i took such good care of it too....stupid lag. |
