Is it that time of year again already? That time of year where I start rushing to set up the Summer Events area? Well it is but guess what; I've already got some of the areas set up! Specifically the spawn room and the Map Art display room. So you know what that means right? It is time for the SE-2024 Map Art Competition to commence!
Theme: Minecraft Screenshots!
Take a screenshot. Take 2 screenshots. Take 3 or 4 or 5 or 6! You will need to turn these screenshots into map art! These screenshots can be taken from either Simplex or a singleplayer world you have if you wanna get the perfect setup. The screenshots can be old but the Map Art you make must be new! You can't use old Map Art that you already had as your entry (I'm looking at you Rach/Temp/Jay/Canadians). Once you have made your map art head on over to /warp event1 and follow the red line to the map art display room. Once there toss a copy of your map into the hopper to submit your entry. Please mail me with the name of your map art so I know what to call it when I display it.
I recommend using the Rebane MapartCraft Website to turn your screenshot into a litematica schematic. From there you can use the litematica mod to build it on simplex (Be sure you chunk align!).
Voting Info:
Build Time: May 12th (RIGHT NOW) - July 12th (That's 2 months!)
Voting Period: July 15th - July 21st
Prizes:
Mending+Infinity Bow, 32 Diamond Blocks, 16 Diamond Blocks, 1 Netherite Block, Elytra Shulkerbox, Map Art Voucher, 6 Beacon Setup, 3 Netherite Tools, 16 shulkers of each color wool.
Other Info:
-You can only submit a max of 6 Maps! You can build a 2x3 or 6 1x1s if you want. Maybe you want to submit 1 2x2 and 2 1x1s. As long as you only submit 6 maps MAX, then you can have as many entries as you want!
-I am not providing any materials or places to build your map art for free. I do have a platform you can rent out but I highly recommend using your own platform.
-After you finish your art, you can sell it! Participating in this comp does NOT take away your right to sell your map art!
-You can work with other people, but the prizes will not be split so you would have to decide who would get what prize.
-Unlike last years you do NOT have to post your art to this forums post!
