ive been thinking of making a free shopping district guide to help people find stuff faster. the guide would list every plot and what they sell in a book, updating when needed and making new editions for every update. i dont want to list prices to prevent shops with higher prices losing sales, accidentally listing a wrong price, etc. i dont know if this exists already or if listing prices would actually be beneficial so any feedback is appreciated

this isn't a bad idea, but the shops and everything they sell certainly would not fit in a single book, and the list would become obsolete extremely quickly if it wasn't updated incredibly frequently. So as much as I agree that something like this would be helpful, it just isn't really possible.

Potentially you could try for a simple version. Such as, listing a basic item or type of item, then listing all the shops that sell it. IE. Stone and variants Plot: 2, 15, 23, 32, 45, 67, 86, 87, and 99. This would still take lots and lots of work, but if you sacrificed specificity you could probably fit it all in one book.

Yeah about that, the simplex directory kind of already does this.
