Hello staff,
It has come to notice that I have been banned again for the shopping district discord. It might because of passive aggressive behavior, disrespect or even the sd staff was totally done with what they consider as "drama" and banned me.
There was no warning or what so ever so I am kinda confused what happend here.
All my messages have been deleted (that is what I've been told) I have no clue why this ban was issued, I had serious concerns wich where not taken seriously at all. Maybe my wording wasn't right but still.
The reason why I write this appeal is more to find out what led to this event and why. That's mostly my question.

Hello, yes you have been banned from the SD discord. For someone who doesn't want to be in that discord, you used to join make passive aggressive "suggestions" then leave. Or join, then leave.a short time later. I am getting really confusing signals from this. Do you want to be apart of that discord or? You left on your own free will as you are aware(we also have that logged)
Also none of your messages were removed. I made sure to not delete anything when banning you. So your source is incorrect.

First of all thanks for the quick reply. But I think the term passive aggressive is not understood in this case. I have looked up what the meaning is of passive-aggressive: Passive-aggressive behavior is a pattern of indirectly expressing negative feelings instead of openly addressing them. There's a disconnect between what a person who exhibits passive-aggressive behavior says and what he or she does. If this was the case I would do shit in game instead of mentioning stuff that I felt that way wich I did. No I did not make any passive aggressive suggestions at all if we look at what this term means. The tone was a bit harsh about the signs but not even close to passive aggressive. I will add the original message to this post so there is evidence for me and for you to tell me in wich way that was inderictly expressing negative feelings instead of addressing them head on, wich was the case here. I addressed them even mentioned the person, but also those messages are gone. For me this is the second time getting banned. This time I want to come clean and be honest with you. For me it is not about the ban but more how this happend in the first place. On a side note: the sd has a rule that "forces" players to be in the discord due to their updates. So if any of you wants to use the forum post again for updates (wich I know is not continued) would solve the information part. The joining and leaving was because of that and nothing else. So if I wronged anyone here then I deeply apologize for it but it does not take away the seriousness of the message I posted. Edit: the message has been found but raises more questions about this. How can it be that choo can go full on snarky mode and if I respond in the same manner this happens? How is this fair and justified? |

If you are referring to our #change-log where we put updates. If the change affects all SD players in a major way we will notify them about the change. Either by sending all the shop owners a message, contacting the players who are now in violation of the rules, or inform people about the rule if they happen to break it. We don't "force" people to be in the discord. There are plenty of shop owners in the SD that are not in the discord. Discord is not a requirement to use the SD. |

The way I wrote forced"is because that is how it can be interpreted. But I am here to appeal not to have a discussion about who is wrong who is right. The leaving and joining was enough alone, you did it every other week it felt like and that's enough to drive anyone insane. Even more than Veil left and came back and had to rejoined the God Channel (lol sorry veil) the in and out drove me up the wall months ago but said nothing in an attempt to be calm about it.
But the stirring up drama best left to die half the times you joined didn't help either. Like your last argument about the dumb signs. They are staying Birch. "Yours is mangrove though" a consolation prize of dealing with this same argument for as long as I have and remaining as calm as I have. The sign debate is done, I murdered it, put it in the grave, and had a priest cleanse the SD of its ghost.
Do you, or do you not want to be in the SD discord? It's not an In and Out fast food service, it's a pizzeria. Please pick a table and have a seat.

If the leaving and joining was enough to drive you crazy then I have no clue how you lost it to be fair. The dates I joined back are like 3 times in 1 month time. Is that a reason to be banned? I don't know if that can be justified here. It is not like spam joining/leaving every few minutes wich would be a really good reason to be banned. But I did not even do that, not even close. So the reason of banning me becomes more and more vaguely along the road. Now it is because of the signs. That was a suggestion to update it all to mangrove. Even though they are really readable imo. But that does not matter to this case and I apologize for the snarky undertone on that message. Before that it was passive aggressive suggestions. But you said stirring up drama, this was not drama those are very real issues and yet they can't be hardly proven. The reactions to my questions are mostly harsh/rude and in some ways provoking. I felt personally attacked and I looked back to earlier questions/suggestions I made. All of those answers gave me the feeling that I am a target (wich is or isn't the case, I have no clue at this point of time) ignoring that kind of stuff let to the moment that more and more people expressed themself about certain things like signs and other things besides that. If I am being banned due to bringing up/ backing up players who share the same opinion then I feel very sorry about that. But if everything wich contains any form of criticism or anything negatively towards you or your team this will be marked as "drama". I understand it isn't easy to deal with but I hope I explained my case here. I approached things a bit weird/wrong but at the end of the day I am appealing this ban because I am a very active shop owner who wants to contribute to a environment that is good for everyone. If I happen to be toxic, stirring up "drama" or was being suggesting "passive aggressive" suggestions then I would deeply apologize for that wich was not even intend like I explained before. Whatever the outcome will be of this appeal I will have peace with it as long as it is justified. |

I brought up that you would join, make snarky comments or suggestions during those times you joined because it is also a reason you are banned. Then when things got to be too much or you wanted to wash your hands of the drama sparked by your snarky comments you'd leave again. So the drama was indeed also included on the ban.
an example of the drama you caused was indeed the sign thing. We told you and the hand full of others who don't like birch signs that they would stay birch, multiple times. yet it was still brought up yet again as if you could bully and argue into getting your way. Then that caused people to say the SD is a "shit show" and how dare we take away their freedoms ect ect. people I very well thought were good friends, now I look at them and think "they think how I run the district is a shit show." All because you wanted to stir the drama pot and get everyone all wild and up in arms about the most minor of things. *a sign* ffs.
If you can't see how your actions negatively affected the district, I'm sorry this ban will hold. Or maybe you do see it and it's what you want or some messed up bs, idk.

I doubt this is all on me, but if you need someone to blame then sure do that. I am fine with it since I knew already this was going to happen. This does not solve anything kitty, because I do not talk or put words in other players mouth. Maybe their "drama" are real. I never said the sd was a shit show. All I said was "clown Fiesta" just a big circus all together. Not a shit show that happend after my leave before I got banned. But I guess... I am fine with it the ban. Have it your way, once again you did it! I am going to celebrate real life stuff, I am not even mad about this, only very dissapointed that this happend again. That's all. I once want to close this case with my last words: We always get a choice to decide what to do, but if it is right is just a matter of time. |
