Hello everyone,
I am re-applying for staff with this 'helper' application.
As you may or may not have noticed my old forum account is deleted, and my old application post itself is also deleted, though the thread itself still exists. With that said though, I first joined Simplex in August of 2016, and I've been staff from April 2017 to October 2020. I think every active player knows me or at least knows of me so I'll skip further introductions though. Instead, I'll touch on why I left and why I would like to re-join the staff team.
So, why did I leave?
Well, to sum it up, I left because my mental health no longer allowed me to function in a capacity (I thought was) fitting of a person in any position of power, and I needed a break desperately. I'm honestly not sure how to put into words what I'd like to say about this though, It's a tough topic. But I will say that I was scared of doing Simplex harm with the power I had during an episode at the rate I was going, and I was also sick and tired of everything in life and I could tell I was no longer in a good enough headspace to be in a staff position. So I left.
Why I'd like to re-join:
Well, It's been a wild and rough ride at times, and it still sometimes is, but I'm no longer in that constant negative, destructive mindset with everything being too much. In other words: I'm doing alright. I think I'd like to be staff again, and I think I'll be good to handle both the position and myself now. First thing I'd like to do is to tweak the anti-cheat to fix a few false positive issues that have been bothering me (and perhaps you too). Of course I'll also be around to do some household tasks when needed, and help out with chat issues, theft, and whatever else. I hope to be of service again. This time with a more positive mindset.
