Greetings all!
This is not just an application for a Helper rank but an application to help and become more involved in the Simplex community as a whole. I have been playing on the Simplex server for, I'm guessing, four years. Certainly well before the reset. I've played with my children on this server and enjoy interacting with other players as is appropriate. I love the community that is here, I like the culture on the server and I think it's far past time that I contribute more to the whole. So if you don't have a spot for me as a Helper, maybe there's something else I can contribute to!
What do I have to offer?
In the early years of Minecraft I hosted a server that had up to about 15 regular players, mostly friends and family. This gave me an introduction to the commands used on servers and while my knowledge is certainly out of date, I have a good idea of what it takes to run a server and what happens behind the scenes.
I am a professional communicator in real life and manage the social media channels for a government owned insurance company. I know how discussion moderation works and how to apply the rules of a community to difficult situations.
I have contributed to the Simplex community as a whole through my shop at plot 100 in the Shopping District (since the reset) and I helped to build a major stretch of the Interstate Highway on the server. I'd love to be able to contribute to more projects.
What are some of my weaknesses?
My Minecraft playtime can be quite seasonal. As summer rolls through, I find myself outside more and online less. But in the winter, I play Minecraft a lot and would be available to help out.
I am a bit out of date on server commands and functions, I'd need a bit of retraining, but I do completely understand how they work.
I hope that the wider community has a role I can play for it, I do want to contribute more to the Simplex world. Thanks for taking the time to review my application and I hope you'll consider voting "yes" for me to become a Helper or contact me with a project.
