Alright, so I've asked this on the ask_staff channel on the Simplex discord, and was suggested I talk about it here. I personally think adding more channels to the discord would spice things up, and interest players who maybe haven't played in a while. For an example, we could add a music discussion channel, off-topic, or even a no-context channel where people would send funny screenshots of a moment on the discord server someone said something hilarious without context. In my opinion, I think this would be an amazing idea, as I said before It could be an interesting way of adding new things.

Considering I am more active on the discord server than the minecraft server lately, a no-context channel and pets channel would be really cool to see! The discord server is one of my favorite places to relax if I am feeling stressed and check out the new memes or whatever has been posted in the pictures and videos channel. So I would support the idea of more channels.

As someone who runs / moderates a number of Discord Servers there's one thing I've learned: The more channels you have, the less people actually talk.
#General is already the "Off Topic" channel. This covers music, too. #Pictures is for screenshots. So that's covered as well.
As it stands (And I'm not speaking as a staff member here), I see no reason for adding any more channels at the moment.
