Punishment and Duration: Discord ban, duration unknown
Reason: Banned for having the old Mississippi flag as my pfp, as it contains the Confederate flag. According to staff, it is racist.
Appeal: (My memory of this isn't the best, so this might be a bit inaccurate) In July 2020, I had decided to leave the server due to how political I perceived the server as. I realize now that I was wrong about that. I didn't realize until today that I was banned from the discord. I thought I left the discord on my own after Sneakykitty (?) told me to change my pfp or be banned, but apparently I was either banned after the fact, or didn't actually leave myself, like I intended to. For context, I changed my pfp to the old Mississippi flag after I learned they had voted to change it to the one they have now--I didn't have any racist intentions.
Now, I'd like to be unbanned from the discord, since I want to get back into the server, because of Choo. I have changed as a person a bit since I left, making the reasons I left irrelevant. It's easier for me to get along with people/groups which disagree with me, and I've stopped doing things like changing my pfp to something political/controversial. The situation that happened is not going to happen again, with how I've changed, and I apologize for displaying my admittedly controversial opinions in a Minecraft server discord, of all places.
