Being passive-aggressive and hostile towards SD staff (particularly Choo_Imperium and sneakykitty) through use of memes
Appeal:
In September 2021, I was banned from the SD discord, along with Mauhulakh, for being passive-aggressive to SD staff. My previous appeal was written in the heat of the moment, right after I had realized I was banned. My frustration and anger was high at that moment, and I sincerely apologize for the hurtful things I said, specifically to sneakykitty. The past couple of months have given me time to reflect on the situation. Now I am more aware of the part I played in the drama-fest that occurred in #general that day.
My intention was to give criticism in a respectful manner and to raise concerns that I and other players had experienced as shop-owners. The way I went about this was not okay. Things got out of hand and I came up with the stupid idea to create memes about Kitty, Choo, and SD staff as a whole. I sent them to many players in private message and also posted them in #general. My intention was not to be mean through making these memes. I tried to diffuse the tensions and create a light-hearted atmosphere but I realize now that this was not a respectful way to do it. I should have stopped sending the memes and pointlessly arguing with SD staff over rules and policies when sneakykitty told Mauhulakh and I to stop. I crossed several boundaries, and although I did not mean to cross them, I did and that is my own fault.
I made SD staff's lives more difficult than they should be, and that is something that I tremendously regret. I now understand the impact my actions have had: creating a hostile environment in the SD discord and disobeying SD staff when told to stop. I believe I have learned from my mistakes and I hope I can get a second chance at being part of the Discord. I promise that I will not bring up old drama and that I will be respectful to SD staff, as they put in a lot of work to keep the SD running smoothly. And specifically to Kitty and Choo, I apologize for being rude, obnoxious, and stubborn. I appreciate all the things you do for the SD and the time you spend helping shop-keepers. I hope you can forgive me.
Shop-keeping is one of my favorite activities on Simplex. It always brings me a lot of joy to chat with other shop-keepers, to make suggestions, and to be up-to-date with the latest SD news. It would mean a lot to me if I could be a part of this wonderful and positive community again.
