with a bunch of new things coming out in 1.11 I think increasing world size up to 500k-30mil would be a good idea. most of the map has already been explored or at least the vast majority of it and with that being the case none of the new things will be able to be found.

I wouldn't want to expand the map 500k blocks more, but ten or maybe even fifteen would be great!

Sure, that would be nice, but wouldn't a larger world cost Meehan more money?
In any case, I think 10,000 - 20,0000 additional blocks would be the reasonable maximum.
gnomeknight2 - there is still plenty of space to build and explore on the server.
One thing that I've noticed is that almost no one builds in snowy bioms. You could easily have a chunk or 2 completely to yourself.

Forests and deserts neither, it's always in the plains and savannahs where you find them buildings. I could claim six chunks of land myself, and I'm just near Blackhaven!

I have always built in a Mesa and I have at least more than 6 chunks and more soon. My claim is 252x252 if anyone wants to do math.

The mesa has always intrigued me, and the western theme always fits so well with it. Good choice for a spot to always build in.

When 1.11 comes out Im going to build a base in the end. I thinks its going to be space themed.

Where Riverwood was made is only a few k or so from Ion, and it had never been explored, ever,

And deal with blinding snow all of the time, along with no above ground farm? that might be the reason. there are only a few biomes suitable for building on, the others are either too hilly or too much of a pain to live in.

10k-20k extension sounds very reasonable. I'm still finding large areas on the current map that are fairly untouched. You can build in any biome if you're willing to put forth some effort. Extreme hills and mountainous biomes are great for putting small buildings on all the peaks and connecting them by massive, ornate bridges. Building a simple roof over your crops in snow biomes takes little to no time. 10k-20k extra is a fairly massive new area given the average server attendance here. I've been on servers that routinely had over one hundred people on at a time on weekends that had a map not much larger than ours. Everyone had plenty of room.
