Hi Sily,

You dug diagonally from one patch of lava to another.
You then ran across and already-built bridge across lava... stopped half way, turned to your left and mined directly to a Diamond.
You then stopped. Looked around to see if you were being watched and began to mine the Diamond you went directly to.

I can see 0 way this wasn't XRay.
