Reason: Spamming
Appeal: I do not believe the was rightfully banned from the discord server. Veilstar, one of the admins on the discord server told me/a general audience to tone down on the spamming, though I was not spamming in my opinion. I was simply having a conversation with one of my friends on the server. I said "what spam?" I told him/her it was simply just a conversation, not spam and was hoping that could clear up the misunderstanding. Instead, Veilstar says something about a warning, but I don't remember what he said exactly and also don't know why I was actually even warned in the first place. Speaking your opinion on this server does simply just not exist and if I say I don't believe I was spamming, it apparently is viewed as instigation. I also tried to tell him/her my opinion in the most respectful way possible. I feel like admins should be open to seeing other peoples points of view before immediately perma banning them and calling it back talk. I really don't see this perma ban worthy but its your guys's server so I hope you make the decision that you feel is the correct one.

I will look into this for you now, however: We as a staff team are here to make sure that the Discord Server is an enjoyable place for everyone.
With that in mind, just because YOU do not believe you were spamming, that doesn't mean that everyone else shares the same opinion.
Given the fact you have admitted you were warned about spamming, you should surely have looked at how you were behaving and a) either slowed down b) stopped typing lots of single word responses c) stop posting the same thing over and over.
All of these things are seen as spam - amongst other things.
If you were warned and didn't change your behaviour, I'm not sure why you're shocked about being banned.
Veil is an incredibly experienced member of the team and I very much doubt he would ban someone 'just because'.
We, as a staff team, are very much open to seeing other people's points of view. We are also very much open to ensuring the rules are followed.
This is why warnings exist and are given before bans are handed out.
TL;DR: I'll find out what happened. You've admitted you were warned and didn't change your behaviour. I imagine the ban was the correct decision here.

I see your point. He did warn me to stop, "spamming" and thats exactly what I did. The reason I believe that he banned me was because he thought I was instigating him or pushing some sort of limits, yet all I did was try to prove my perspective of things by saying that I was just trying to have a conversation with one of my friends. I do usually type in one word responses but I've never typed more than 3 words at once because I don't to ping the absolute hell out of peoples phones. They were never also instantly after each other, I would give it like 10-15 seconds before sending another message to be respectful of people's notifs. I also defended my point because I felt that it was an unfair accusation against me, which led me to send messages similar to asking how I was spamming.

(It's also a complete contradiction of your below statement...) because I don't to ping the absolute hell out of peoples phones. It wasn't really contradicting. It wasn't because I personally didn't think 3 messages was disrespecting peoples notifs. I didn't see that as spam because I wasn't flooding peoples feed with 10 messages in a row trying to get what I need to say across. I'll try to dial down the one word responses if this server considers it spam, because I was not trying to intentionally spam anyone, and also know many servers that let me do this and would never had a problem with it (and I know you aren't those other servers, so thats why I was and am being respectful to your rules after he told me to dial down.) I still don't see how I was trolling whatsoever, because all I was doing was trying to explain how it was only meant to be a conversation , along with just asking how I was spamming. I really, really don't see that as trolling. I also don't see how this deserved a perma ban.

Also to add on, the rules are not very specific to what you are telling me about one word messages. Again I only sent a 3 sentences/words at a time. I've also seen multiple people do this as well without warning, which doesn't seem to fair to me. Yesterday I was scrolling through messages in a channel where crafty had been accused of spamming by Kitty. Crafty defended his opinion without getting perma banned or being called an instigator by admins or mods.

This wasn't the first time you have been spamming nonsense in discord, even with a few staff deleting some of your "memes" because they were offensive. you shit posted on the daily and it was time for your departure. Also, the server discord is a privilege given to the players, it is absolutely not a right. You do not absolutely *need* to use it. Ok, I understand, but I did stop spamming after I was told to cut it out. Also nobody told me my memes were offensive, I didn't even know they were deleted. Also, what nonsense have I been spamming? "poob"?. I was told to stop using it frequently and I did(not even by and admin or mod I don't believe). All I did was ask in the most simple ways possible how was I spamming, and I understand he or she is an admin and the "Staff has the right to make judgement calls on all offenses" but maybe give feedback as to what exactly I was doing to be accused spam, so I could avoid doing it again because obviously I couldn't tell in what way I was spamming. How am I supposed to know that this server does allow one word messages in groups of 3 because thats how I usually type in other places? It's not obvious to me that that is spamming or else I wouldn't have done it. Im not telling you how to do your duty, but I guess i'm just adding suggestions as to how to avoid a ban on someone who has asked what they have done wrong after a warning. Also I was just posting memes that I found funny that I could share with others, but I guess I could dial down on the "shitposts" if I ever make it back in, which will probably never happen.

It isn't, but we do not use discord bots for moderation, so we have 3 tools at our disposal here: - Asking or telling people to stop. - Kicking them from the server. - Banning them from the server. The first of those options clearly had no effect. The second option would have likely only made things worse as I'm sure you would both be back as soon as you could be and tried to get as much attention as you could. So the third option it was. If you want to be unbanned from the discord server you're going to have to change the behavior that lead to your ban. And I'm honestly not sure you will, but you tell and show me. |

Listen. I now understand what spam is on this server. It's different for a lot of servers. I was not intentionally trying to spam your chat with my one worded messages. It's just how I usually type. I'm was not as much trying to argue that I wasn't spamming I was trying argue the fact that I didn't know that it was spamming at first. I admit to arguing in the earlier messages, but phleanix then told me that single word messages is considered 100% spam. You said last night to tone down on the spamming, and like a said earlier, I legitimately didn't know how I was spamming because I've been used to other servers where it ok to do one word messages. Thats why I responded "Its called a conversation" and wasn't meant to be in a rude manner. Also, I was not trying to escalate the manner, the part where I said was "owned" was to be a lighthearted joke but was misinterpreted as trolling or instigation. All the parts that you thought was trolling were stupid jokes that I thought was funny and wasn't trying to annoy or upset people. The part where I said In my oponoinoin it wasn't spamming was me telling you my opinion. Nothing More. Not trying to instigate. Also I remember being kicked from this server for saying something like "I want nsfw" or something like that. I realized it wasn't that type of server so I did learn my lesson of not saying inappropriate things in chat. Also said I "tried" telling you in the most respectful way. Guess I wasn't good at it. Also I was banned from the server and I couldn't see what I specifically said, so I said something similar the stuff you corrected. I am 100% aware of what the server wants and doesn't want and completely willing to fully comply. Sad that I had to find out I was doing it wrong this way but hey people learn.
