Admittedly this was probably harsher on you than it should have been, but on the other hand you and your friend both changing your discord nick to "!" makes it hard to see who's saying and doing what. I'll keep it brief for your case: You and your friend were both spamming, so after I said "stop spamming, will ya?", and your friend clearly not taking a step back with his responses to that, and you both changed your discord nicanmes to "!", and you responded with the following: Which combined with your friend's chat just sounds like instigation. You both know exactly why I said to stop spamming, but if you're gonna claim you weren't spamming (whether in your opinion or not): see your friend's discord ban appeal thread: simplex.boards.net/thread/2325. This isn't the first time your response to someone telling you to stop doing something is trying to start an argument. It's the exact opposite of how you should respond. Just take a step back, think about the situation from an outsider's point of view, and try to understand that maybe it's not actually a great thing to have in a public chat. I've unbanned you from the discord server. Don't try to escalate situations again. If you need an explanation of what you're doing wrong in the moment leave out the snarky responses from it next time. |

Thank you for responding to my message. The ! was not intentionally to annoy you or anyone else in the server. We were just having a little bit of fun with the nicknames to see who could get at the top of the members list. None of the messages were directed toward an admin so you make me sound like an asshole like I would say that to your face, I was just speaking my mind about the situation was all. And as an Admin I thought you would say what someone did wrong before just banning them doing this next time would save me a lot of stress trying to get an admin to tell me what I did wrong.
Also I would like you to keep me out of my friends actions, we're not just one gang that wants to mess with the server. I actually enjoy talking to a lot of the people on the server and would like to enjoy it aside from my friends actions.

Quit your bullshit. These are your words, and they were very much a response to an admin (me) telling you and your friend to stop spamming. I'm quite confident you already knew. And even if you didn't, that wasn't the place for that. The forums here are, and now you know. You're asking me to keep you out of your friend's actions, while you're both bouncing off each others' actions and using the same name, at the same time? No will do. You're different people, but you were both up to the same thing at the same time. You can't expect me to handle you both individually in this case. That's not how this works. I actually enjoy talking to a lot of the people on the server and would like to enjoy it aside from my friends actions. That's cool, and you're free to do so. We're not going to punish you for his actions, but when you're both involved in the same incident while using the same name that might not apply though. |

If you looks at the messages I was obviously talking to someone else, sure it may have been about you but I wasn't talking to you. Also no need to get hostile with me with my "bullshit"
I also didn't know having the same name in the server was that big of a deal if I knew that I wouldn't have done it.
