I know this might sound stupid and I might be one of the only players with such bad luck but I have on several occasions died and lost all of my stuff, this includes my tools armour Schuller boxes with blocks of iron sometimes diamonds and even beacons. Now how would u feel when by the 100th time u die in the wild and u can't get ur stuff back, it is really demoralising and then u have to grind to get tools and armour back this process takes a bit of time so BC of this I have not been able to make any real progress in my base I haven't even started building it because I have been so busy getting my stuff back. This might be ignored but I have to try so please someone make it so that the keep inventory is on. Please.

This is really just a part of the game. It sucks to loose all your stuff, but we can't do anything about that. We try to be as close to vanilla as possible, and keeping inventory upon death is something we would never add here.

Welp it's ok I had to try, I think I found a solution which is a am going to start a shop so that I get a source of diamond for every time I die, it it a good idea?

Yup I've died numerous times and lost all of my hard earned tools and armour. Unfortunately that's part of survival mode :/

Reaper, I just wanted to give some tips. I definitely was familiar with the pain of losing everything. There's a lot of tricks on Simplex to avoid this from happening that are still semi-vanilla.
One of the biggest is using sethomes when exploring. Homes are an incredibly powerful command when used correctly, and reserving one for exploration can be very helpful. For example, if I fall in lava and know I won't be able to get out safely, I leave the game and type "/sethome name." Then I copy the command and paste it as soon as I load in. Even though I still die shortly after, I can drink a fire potion and warp back to get my stuff. If mobs are killing me, I warp back with better equipment.
Another trick is saving coordinates. On simplex, items will not burn in lava due to grief prevention unless you leave the game or type /unlockdrops. Items won't despawn unless the chunk is loaded for about fives minutes. This means you have to be near your items for that time, not that you only have five minutes from death. If, when you are dying, you press F3+C, your location will be copied to your clipboard. Simply travel back to your coordinates and collect your stuff.
Carry totems of undying, fire potions, and plenty of food when in an unfamiliar place. Make sure to swap from elytra to armor when busting an end city or bastion.
Using these tools, I have not lost my stuff in many months. I hope the same can be true for you as well!
