I stole from a shop and I then told a moderator. I understand the stuff that I have stolen being taken away but then taking stuff that I bought from other players got cleared out of my inventory. I think this is very unreasonable.

This is just my opinion, but I think it was a reasonable punishment. It was kind of like putting you in a shopkeeper's shoes. How did you feel when your items were just gone that you spent dias or lots of work on? That would have been the same for the shopkeeper if you successfully stole their items.
