The subject kind of already explains itself. I think the /seen command is something that should be a lot more easily avalible. I was gonna suggest it as a perk from being Master rank first but god seemed better. I think you deserve some kind of reward for voting 500 times and it seems as if some players already know another way of checking how long its been since a players last logged in so why not just let them use the command instead. I dont see anything bad with adding this feature and if you've reached god rank on the server you're most likley both respected and trusted on the server so the chances of them misusing a command should be pretty low. I'm kind of interested in any counter-argument so feel free to leave a reply with it below.

The main issue was that players could see the Ip adresses of players. So that was one of the main reasons why players can't use this command. If I remember correctly this convo was between chlor and a staff member I can't recall who that was. but that was the main issue. To me it seems like something I do not want or even need. achieving god rank on it's own is already a big thing. voting 500 times is not nothing. Crafty had the idea to add a god channel for the discord wich I like more. so you can go and chat into that channel with your fellow god rank players. it is somethin exclusive and a motivation to vote for. I keep in mind that I can get 2 more homes as my road continues to the god rank. So my opnion is no. ps. Maybe u could add a poll to see what opinion is prefered. |

Seen is a moderation command that players have little to no use for, nor is it semi-vanilla. There's a difference between knowing the last time your friend was on, and having full access to a database that contains the last login date of every single player who joined the server. People are quick to assume that all players here want that information about them recorded and fully available to all players. I don't think so. There's also the risk of how some players might use that information for their own benefit.
Sorry for sounding harsh, but there's no reason players need to have that command. What happens currently, with players asking a moderator, mitigates the potential risks of having it readily available to all players, and still allows you to know when someone in particular was last online. I don't see the point in changing a system which isn't broken, to another system which has potential privacy and security risks.

What if we had an official discord text channel for posting requests for staff to use /seen in the event a staff member isn’t in game

Just wait for staff to come on the server. Seen is not that important staff have enough things to look at while we were gone we honestly don't care about when someone was last on. It's very very low on the list we have to do.
