/tomap is an Plugin that can be pretty fun to play with Why Should This be Added: It is pretty fun to play with, it can be used for many things in many creative ways How Does It Work: /tomap (URL Of A Picture) Resize What Does It Do: it makes a picture on a map Anything Else: i understand that you guys want to make the Survival as Vanilla as Possible, but this can be just a little add-on for the Survival Experience, this Plugin is used iin many Popular survival series, like SMP Live Or SMP Earth

Alright, I'm gonna be real with you chief. This isn't a good idea. I have several problems with it, ranging from classification, to implementation, to strain. First of all, from what I can find on planetminecraft and other forums about the definition of semi-vanilla is this: Semi-Vanilla is Vanilla (The out of box, straight from Mojang version of minecraft), coupled with very few plugins which can improve play-ability on a game that was never mechanically meant to be multiplayer. These plugins can be things such as Lag prevention, grief prevention, /ban plugins, etc. The key part about all of these plugins is that they do not change the game. You can still go to the wild where you have to find cobble to find iron to find diamonds... you get the picture. By adding superfluous plugins, we may be endangering our semi-vanilla status. This also comes to an additional point - purpose. If a player wants to build a map (which I am one of the major map-makers on the server) you have to round up 17k materials and about 20 hours worth of work to produce art. The plugin which you suggest simply removes that by allowing any player to instantly plug in any URL and produce a map. This would essentially ruin the fun of what I do on the server and make me not really want to continue doing what I do. This changes the game, which as we know, goes against the semi-vanilla rule. Another point would be implementation and strain. The plugin by default allows for unlimited maps per world per player. For instance, unless the .config file is altered, what prevents a player from spawning in hundreds or thousands of maps, harming and degrading the server on which we all depend on? It's another plugin for admins to have to work with, another job to keep track of, and another source of abuse, which I guarantee, someone will abuse eventually. From my perspective, this is a big no, and could potentially harm the physical server, its players, and the future of Simplex as we know it.

We can already make pictures in game thru map art. Yeah, you have to get the supplies, clear out the area, and build but it's not supposed to be easy. Cheating in items completely defeats the purpose of putting in the work to get them.

It's not Semi-Vanilla. It changes the way the game is meant to be played.

Yeah this will never happen at Simplex, sorry.
