Punishment and Duration: Ban for a week
Reason: X-ray
Appeal: I think the staff may have made a mistake. I was gonna go strip mining down, and I had gone about 2 blocks in when I realized I forgot my torches. I went back to my base to grab them then went back to my spot. I had gone about three more blocks down when the screen told me I was banned for x-ray. I am curious to what evidence the staff have of me "x-raying". I had been doing a bit of mining earlier, (Strip mining down and the occasional straight) when I ran into a cave. I started clearing some of the walls when I came across diamonds in several locations. Is this not allowed? Was this seen as x-raying?

Very strange strip mining. Also, why would you start to dig into a wall, and then stop after finding diamond? Were you thinking of creating a base there?

Exhibit A: Yes, I do clear out walls like that. And I was thinking about creating a base there. I often do underground bases like that and can show you some pictures from my own worlds if you would like. Guess it was a lucky wall. I do recall clearing out walls like that on more than one occasion.
Exhibit B: I do that weird mining all of the time on my other worlds as well. If you would like I can provide evidence of this as well.

Rusoli, I just had another staff member have a look and they concur that it is too much like X-ray to let you off. Appeal denied, unfortunately.
You do get another chance to play after the 7 days ban is up, so my advice is to try and avoid this type of mining. Remember, 2nd time X-ray is a permanent ban.
Good luck with the new base when you get back.

I had another look at this, and it's just so X-ray. I mean, I wish I could find diamond this way, but I'm not that good, statistically speaking. I would again advise methods that look and act less like X-ray.  |
