Reason: asking a question
Appeal: after i was told why my friend was muted (apparently what he said was "inappropriate"), i asked how that phrase was inappropriate. right after i asked my question, i was muted for 10 hours. i just wanted some closure on what is and what is not inappropriate.

Think on this: there are children who play on the server. My own 12 year old has played on this server. Now cussing is an every day thing for myself so things like "Fuck that creeper killed me" is not really something we are concerned with(as long as it's not excessive like: "fuck this fucking fucker of a creeper fucked me.") Now if someone is cussing AT a player, obviously thats against the rules. Like: "fuck you, Kitty" Also things about drugs, sex, politics, religion are also a no go. If you want to tell your pals about a funny sexual joke or who you wanna vote for in the next election then by all means please do so in /msg. arguing with staff or being a snappy little butt nugget will also get you a lovely mute. be kind, even to us staff.

No warning needed if there is just cause to mute. You stirring the pot was enough. Just like him being inappropriate was also not needing warning. common sense must be a maturity thing. In which case I say the youth of today should explore what it truly is to be mature. knowledge is power my friends.

Not sure what "closure" you are looking for here. You were given a reason multiple times in game and multiple times above in this thread as to why your friend was muted. There may not be a specific rule about being inappropriate but when a staff member gives you a warning (short mute in this case) about something, that means it time to stop. Arguing about it and stirring up the chat is disruptive and was the reason for your long mute. Anyway, here's the log from it, minus some random chat in between. Seems pretty clear to me that you were given a reason (being inappropriate) and Elena used the long mute to take back control of the chat after it got out of hand.
