I love how shopping district works currently. But sometimes it is not that easy to find a specific shop. Plot number doesn't help too much. I would suggest to have one way to guide people to the shop they are looking for. Here are some Ideas I come up with: 1. Having the district divided into 4 different colors. People can easily navigate through the district buy instruction like "sun, red quarter, mid ring" 2. Put owner's name on the map using flag. 3. Name the road like in real life. Just some of my personal ideas lol. One time I was trying to tell one player where my shop is (which is sun#13, go shop there). He spent a lot of time trying to find it. Please let me know if you think this is a good idea

My way of giving directions to shop was to indicate what ring the shop is on and then the direction. South East Inner ring would be Sneakykitty's, West outer ring would be Nurikoh's, North Middle ring would be your shop. Since I determined the pattern/placement of the plot numbers as well as had access to a list of plot owners I was able to do this fluently.
When I was owner (r.i.p) I had the idea of putting a orange banners (blue for moon) on top of the plot sign with the banners named after the owner of the plot. That way the banner color and name of it would show up on a map. Players would be able to look at the map and just find the name of the player they are looking for instead of finding the plot number of the shop they are searching for. Maybe its time to reconsider that scrapped idea?

This post may come off as complicated, but I’d like to contribute my insights, albeit being slightly confusing. I hope whoever reads this post understands my concept and viewpoint. The layout of the Sun District was rather tricky for me at first, but I view the Sun District as a 12 hour analog clock. Attached below is a layout of the Sun District's plots that I’ve created, as well as a 12 hour clock, to assist in understanding this post. Facing north from the center of the Sun District, and to the right of the player heading in that direction, are plots #1, #13, and #37 — plot #37 is an exception to this, as it is located directly in the center. On a 12 hour clock, it can be represented as the number 12. Follow suit, the plots that are located at the end of the roads in the Sun District (from left to right), can be represented as the numbers three, six, and nine on a clock. Therefore, plot #45 would be represented as the number three, plot #53 being the number six, and plot #61 being the number nine. Our clock is set. The center of the Sun District serves as a compass. The pathways serve as the hands of the clock, and the plots represent the hours of the clock. Something to note as well is that the number of plots increase per ring in the Sun District. The inner ring of the Sun District contains plots #1 through #12, the middle ring consists of plots #13 to #36, and the outer ring consists of plots #37 to #68. Hence, there are 12 plots in the inner ring, 24 in the middle ring, and 32 in the outer ring. Using the 12 hour clock as a guide, the plots are divided into “quarters” of a whole. When discussing time, a quarter of an hour is 15 minutes. A whole hour is 60 minutes. Therefore, for the inner ring, there are three plots per quarter. The middle ring contains six plots per quarter, and the outer ring contains nine plots per quarter. Lastly, to find out which plots are located in each quarter, referring to the 12 hour clock, moving clockwise from the center (to your right) of the center of the Sun District will show which plots are grouped in that quarter. Like mentioned above, the number of plots vary per ring. If in doubt, use F3 to check the direction in which your player is facing in. Also note, there are notable buildings in the Sun District that can help in direction, such as Jendestroy’s tall pink tower. This is located in the middle ring. I don’t remember what plot number it is. Besides that, players may not understand or view the Sun District the way I do. That being said, I agree — using banners either stating the plot number or the plot owner for maps and/or sectioning off the Sun District by color can definitely aid players who get lost searching for plots. TL;DR - Sun District can be viewed as 12 hour clock. There are “landmarks” in the Sun District to refer to for directions. Agreed with ssoilder’s ideas with using banners and colors to section off the Sun District.
