Okay. I'm going to come clean here. This was my first ban and I'm a very new player on Simplex. I was getting fed up because of the fact that I had already mined for several hours and only had 14 diamonds to show for it.
So I decided to go mining with the texture pack on and sure enough I was banned the next day. Did I know the rules? Yes. Was I cheating? Yes. I wasn't mad though, I knew that it was disrespectful to anyone else trying to mine and disrespectful to the mods for me thinking I could get away with cheating. But now I understand and I've learned why this is a bannable practice. So to everyone reading this: I'm sorry, I won't let it happen again.
To the mods reading this: you don't have to lift or shorten my ban, I just wanted to clarify why I was caught cheating and why I won't let it happen again.
Edit: I'll promptly remove all resources I got through x-ray hacking from my inventory
