Why was Simplex down Monday January 28th?

Hey all if you noticed, the server was down for half the day. Why was this? Was this planned?
The simple explanation of it is: We ran out of disk space. We thought we had more time to handle this problem, but we did not. The server crashed as a result. Snurre is our tech guy so we waited for him to have a look at it. He found some space and was able to get the server up, but some things were not right. The server was then white listed for staff only to test things. We weren't actually playing as any progress would have just been a waste as snurre had to pull files from the backup and fix some people's votes/claims/sethomes. After some hard work, Snurre got the server up and everything as close to being fixed as possible. After some testing the server was brought up for everyone.
Now this is just a band aid to a bullet wound. As I said, we knew this was coming and had already set into motion a plan of fixing this. Meehan has already gotten a bigger server, it will take a few days for it to be ready for us to use. When it is ready, and Meehan and snurre are ready, the server will have to be down again. This time it will be much longer than half a day. Much like when we switched from the other server to a dedicated server, at least a couple days will be needed to change everything over and make sure everything is in working order. The time and date for this has not yet been decided but know it will be sooner rather than later.
During this time we ask everyone to be as patient as possible. NO the server is NOT being reset. Nothing will be changed. You do not have to worry. We ask you NOT constantly ask when the server will be up. We will announce when it will be going down and then announce when it will be back up! Everyone will be trying to be quick about it but you can't really rush this process and expect it to be ok when its done. Any questions? post them below. Thank you and have a lovely day.
