A swastika was built by a player and claimed by another. The swastika was not angled, and was not stylised in any way to appear to be a Nazi symbol. A staff, EnderKitty asked the land owner to demolish it, to which the owner said that it was not his and that he claimed it to be reviewed by staff. The player who built it then chimed in saying that it was a religious symbol, but EnderKitty persisted saying that the builder should acknowledge that it was "offensive to some people although it may be his religious symbol". A debate began and eventually EnderKitty decided to threaten to ban the builder if he didn't tear it down, as he was offended because his heritage was Jewish. When I asked EnderKitty to consider the facts and even tried to negotiate that the swastika be mirrored inverse to the Nazi swastika (the inverse swastika means evolution) EnderKitty said that I should "Drop the topic" before another player said that EnderKitty would ban me. When I said that I would simply appeal, he said that I would not be able to appeal if I was guilty, while still refusing to tell me what I was guilty of.

I think that the swastika should be reinstated, if not the same, at the very least mirrored, if the builder so pleases. There is a line between avoiding hate speech and being oversensitive. I think that EnderKitty took unnecessary offence to a symbol which meant peace and abused his power to silence anyone who thought differently from him. I strongly urge for him to be talked to regarding freedom of speech and religion and abuse of power.

So it looks like the issue was already taken care of. Now I do want to address the fact that ender kitty is not a member of the staff team. So you are aware staff either have the purple admin tag or will have a green [H] [H+] [M]. Players tend to seem like they are staff when they are not.

We had a case like this before. If the builder so chooses to build it where no one else can see or get to it, and they don't have people tp-ed to it, they are free to have it. If something like this is put up again out in the open, we will not hesitate to take action and start temp or banning said builders. We aren't stupid, we know what a swastica looks like and we also know what the hindu symbol looks like. We were born but it was not yesterday.

Thank you for the clarification c: . I was under the impression that Enderkitty was Kitty from the staff wall.

With all due respect, I think you are severely mistaken. The Hindu Swastika (not swastica) and the Nazi Swastika are identical with the only real differentiator being the rotation of a swastika to distinguish the Nazi symbol. The swastika built not rotated. Aside from that, I would ask that you not take offence from my post. I admit that I was under the impression that EnderKitty was you, however seeing that you are not, I hold nothing against you. I do not take you as being stupid or being one day old.
