Ever since 1.13 it appears that have some changes have been made to redstone devices that might cause lag, e.g minecarts. While this is necessary to prevent player made lag machines the effect on hoppers has resulted in constant breakdowns in my storage system with hoppers becoming clogged and having to be fixed when coming back to unloaded chunks. A change should be made so to prevent this from happening to hoppers.

Agree with this. It's usefull to have autosorter systems. I don't have a autosorter yet on the server but want to have one soon. If i can't use it normally it would be hard (And i must design another way to sort things.

you know a great way to sort your things? Manually. You know how lag seems to plague the server? because everyone and their mom want to make as many automated things as they humanly can. On a limited scale sure that might be ok but the server has seen nearly 3 years and hundreds of players. Plenty who build these things then never return. Sure the chunks unload MOST of the time but sometimes they don't or people exploring loads those chunks and then it causes a tiny bit of lag, do that enough and tps takes a dive down the shit bowl. Just some food for thought.

On anothet note, yes there is a problem with hoppers that stops working for no apparent reason. We are looking into it, but we dont know yet why its happening. There is no "lockHoppersRandonly=true" setting unfortunately..

Yeah ok i will just sort things myself . It's not that hard and almost even fasters (And really cheaper then autosorter). Sorry for the thumbs up from my side (Didn't think about the server lag - Kitty).
