Username-MattyG Punishment-7 day ban Reason-xraying Appeal- I made a huge strip mine (to me at least) and found like 10ish diamonds throughout the whole thing, so eventually got mad because I couldn't find enough to buy more quartz and just left for a few hours. When I came back I was still kinda mad and decided to just randomly mine around the tunnel hoping for stuff, and found like 20 diamonds (no idea how, but it made me really happy for that moment, I had no idea how they were that close to my original mine then but it was really cool) When I got the ban I saw that random mining looked suspicious and realized that probably looked pretty suspicious. I swear I'm not a hacker, or aspire to be. I randomly mined (stupid move) and found diamonds. I'm sorry if anybody thought that looked like I was cheating but I literally don't even know how to cheat on a server, or at all for that matter. Oh and also I always fill in the holes when I find ores, I can show proof from all around the strip mine where I find iron or coal, etc. and just fill it in so it looks better. I would really appreciate some kind of review on this, because I'm not a hacker. Thanks!  |

Sidenote, I basically didn't pay attention to the message saying I was mining the diamonds too fast. I thought that as long as I didn't actually have hacks it wouldn't ban me. And if it helps, I use the Damage Indicator and Xaeros Minimap mod which I was told on the Discord that I could use. Turned off the players, mobs, and caves for the minimap mod too.

Hello. The server did not ban you, it can't do that. When you hit limit, it sends a message to staff, and when we have time we have a look at where you hit it and your mines. I was online at the time so I headed over when you hit the limit. Your mine didn't look right but was not totally 100% xray at first glance. So I stuck around to have a look around/follow you a bit. You then went back over your mine and did something out of the ordinary: changed some of the cobble blocks along your mine to non out of place blocks like dirt, Diorite, and granite. I thought 'well that's a bit odd, he didn't do that to any of the other mines in this area.' when you left the area, I went back to those spots and this is what you are calling "random" mines even though there were literally no other mines that led to no diamonds. You attempted to cover you tracks by filling in all the "random" mines in with cobble, as if that would stop us from knowing exactly where you mined diamonds. Your random mines were not in fact random, but xray. Any mine-able items or the things crafted into things from mine-able items have been removed. A second time offense is a perm ban. I'm still telling you I didn't x-ray. I said above that I fill in the holes where I find ores, just because it looks better aesthetically having a straight tunnel with no holes in it than a really messed up tunnel with a ton of holes in it. I wasn't covering up my tracks, I was just doing that to make it look better. I do that in all of my worlds so it looks nice. And yes, it looks suspicious mining randomly and finding diamonds, so I understand why you're suspicious. I apologize that you think I've x-rayed at all, and I hope you see this. Since there's literally no way to defend that I was just mining randomly, all I have is my word, but I still swear that I didn't x-ray any of my stuff. I hope that I can be unbanned, but if I'm not I'll wait for the ban to lift and try to explain further why I wasn't cheating. Hope you have a nice night

Yeah, I acknowledged that Luigi. It was a stupid thing to do and I didn't even realize random mining had the risk of getting me banned until I actually got banned so I went to that on the forums and immediately facepalmed. Like I said, I can see where the suspicion is coming from and I apologize.
