Everything is possible, almost. It's either a little effort, a ton of effort, or something in between.
Resetting or not, we do have a test world/server, and we will continue to test stuff.

Given the fact that it says claim blocks will be reset it is a solid no from me. I have bought 3 or 4 packs of blocks and losing that would be a swift kick.

Does anyone else think that with Halloween coming up we won't do anything regarding reseting until after that trick or treating is over - maybe even after christmas (cause there might be an event then too? Simplex 1.13 2019 anyone?

Simplex 1.13 2019 anyone? We will update as soon as we can regardless of what event is coming up. It is unlikely we will reset as that vote, even though it is closer now, is still a "NO" I haven't been keeping up with all the problems/repairs being done to 1.13 but from the ranting from Veil and snurre that I thumb through almost every morning it would seem 1.13 still a hot mess. but like I said, I've only thumbed through what they were saying. too nerdy for me. snurre: "downloading something or something test server something.: Veil: "fuck mojang." lol

I do not know if I am supposed to post here but here's my thought I agree with kitty I think we should have a separate [Resource World] that gets reset every couple of months .Doing this will Secure all of the community projects, time, and creativity While making it possible for new players to be able to contribute to this community with their own ideas and Creativity without having to look far and wide for a single tree to mine like on other servers. Thanks for reading:] -Ralpha603

Make a test world first, I hear some servers keep having bugs in the new update anyways. Also what exactly is a reset? Dose it mean everything gets deleated and recurses go back to where they once was? Cuz all those that say no to a reset don't want to lose there work they have worked hard on, so is there a way to have both? Yaoigirl666, firstly I want to say I'm not staff so I'm not 100% sure as to the possibilities that there are. I believe that a reset means a new world all together; resources, landscapes, and seed changed. For the second point, it seems that it is possible to reset certain chunks however I also think that if that is to be done it has to be done manually which would be very time consuming and tedious work. And as choo said before, I think this still wouldn't change the fact that you seem to need beaches for turtles to spawn and features which have similar mechanics.

Yes you do need beaches for the turtles so they can lay eggs, and I knew the new update had lots of bugs cuz I been watching YouTube way more then the doctor recommended lol. I would have suggested making a whole new world, *insert song here* for the new update and keeping this one as well, but if I remember correctly it costs money to have these world's, so I never said it since it's Meehan who would be paying for it. Also reading Kitty's post about snu and veil OMG that made my day, I can so see veil plotting so many deaths every time a problem pops up. *Falls off chair laughing* and snu trying to keep his cool while in his head hes wondering how Minecraft looked while in flames *can't breath now*

I might as well write this. Feel free to delete this post. Current stance of the poll as of 9/20 is 44-45-16. I voted I don't care either way.
I have been hearing lately that memory and storage space is limited after expanding the border. If there was a reset and a world download, the file would be too big to download in one piece. It's unlikely the world will reset as I've heard, and in the event it does reset, and the world will be put up for download, I suggest dividing the files in chunks, and uploading them separately.
When the border expands, is it possible to purchase more storage space and memory for the server? Obviously this is easier said than done. A lot of different factors come into play here. There might not be enough money for an upgrade. 1.13 is still buggy. Plugins still need to update, especially LogBlock and NCP (as of what I have heard).
If the world does reset though, and it is against the semi-vanilla concept of the server, is it possible to move buildings into another world? Two months ago, this was an issue, but with all the challenges with the upgrade, I think this should be reconsidered. The way I would do this is a "first come, first serve" situation. Players would: 1) Mail the staff members pointing out what build they would like to be moved (including the exact coordinates, this should be a player's responsibility) into a temporary new world. 2) Upon the world reset and the restoration of those builds, this temporary world can be deleted or used to test stuff. 3) Up to 25 players (depends on how high you would like it to be) may have their build moved, since that's the average amount of players you have online daily. There should be a limit on how many builds a player can move and it also depends on how large that build is. Depending on the plugin (I will assume WorldEdit), that's critical because a large enough build (500,000 blocks and higher) is likely to crash the server.
While I don't mind whether the world will reset or not, I believe that just might be the perfect solution for everyone. Reset the world, and keep a limited number of builds. This will be an instant "no" but I suggest thinking about it again. At this rate, I don't see the server updating until around October or November.

There's also that biome update in the future. Mojang really want us to leave the old world and make a new one . Anyway, I'm still neutral in this topic and I'll play simplex as long as i can :3
