Complete World Reset For 1.13

At this point... I don't mind if the world resets or not because I personally have not been on the server long enough to even think of a reset... But let's see how the poll goes.

I'm still totally in for that hardcore server idea

I'd honestly probably not come back if I lost all my builds. I don't have another early game in me.

It would be cool not to have set homes in the new server. So people have to build railways / walkways to get to there destinations. It would bring the community closer and will create lots of villages / towns that are all connected. We are lucky to have the set homes but it does bring away from the "simple" Minecraft.

Im all up for a fresh start, but as Choo said i would like not to have any items and also a world download would be great.

This is exactly what I have been thinking here. There are such great builds on the server and they do not deserve to be deleted, I think it will disappoint many players, especially the ones who have been playing on here for more than a year. A new world is a better idea like Kitty mentioned above, and I agree with her on this now.

I would not like a world reset because this is coming from many newer players who barely even joined the server and/or have been playing just for a few months (like me), it isn't worth it. If the world does end up resetting, though... I feel as if a lot of players would leave and not come back. It's like crashing the entire server. You would be losing everything, claim blocks, homes, buildings, items, and so much more, and you will have to work hard to find them all again.

I think it's because some players want it easy, I even saw someone in chat earlier saying that "Elytras are going to be less expensive." Of course Elytras are expensive and will get more expensive because you have to earn them by working hard, I've heard some players flew in the end for at least three to four hours before finding an unraided end city. There are many more unraided end cities, you just have to look for them.

Just... really... The reset does have its benefits though, but personally I'll be voting no because after further consideration I just figured it's not fair and is not necessary. A border expansion would be better or a new world would be great too, and the hardcore server idea should become a thing... After all we'll just have to wait here. If you're just not comfortable at all playing on an old world, there's many other servers out there.

The world can be downloaded and saved as pointed out so your work will not be deleted. The world was created about 2.5 years ago and have seen multiple updates from 1.9. While there are many cool builds out there you gotta ask yourself should we hold off for players just to showcase their work or should we try and open up new opportunities for both new and old players we have on the server that are active now. Many things have changed in minecraft since 1.9 and expanding the border each time doent guarantee you'll get to experience them. We did this when manions became a thing and there are just a couple out there for example.

Thats why a second connected world would be best of both worlds. new content for everyone while keeping the old. Yes the server file will always be there, but what point would there be if you want to play with your friends on the server and keep building at the same time? Single player world downloads are fine but they are missing the one thing that keeps most people on the server: The community. 

I honestly think we should follow the if it ain't broke don't fix it. Keep the world how it is. The only reason I think there should be a reset is if the update didn't work. If we update things start breaking and 1.13 stuff can't be found then I think it would be a good time to restart.

I personally am all for a 2nd server that will be a fresh start. I don't want to lose all of my builds but I also do like the idea of jumping into a new world and being able to start fresh. I feel if we were to do a 2nd server however it should have this limitation the world will be reset every MAJOR upadte. Keep the original world the way it is update and hope everything works.

I may have taken a break from the server for a few months because life and other shit but I still have a lot of stuff built I am attached to... I don't think I would be able to get the chance to have my own mushroom island again and all of my builds were built freehand there were no blieprints or tutorials. I don't think I would be able to.buold the exact same thing again.

I understand the new players coming on and being like this is unfair all the older people have more than me and I will never be able to catch up. That is not true. It took players this long to get what they had for example myself and kitty 2+ years. This is how life is there are always going to be people who have more than you and there are always people that will have less than you. Wait till you are an adult and you will definitely find that out. Just because you started 2 years after someone doesn't mean the senior players should lose all their stuff.

That's just my 2 cents.
