My little brother plays on this server sometimes, and I have to turn off his chat so that he does not see some of the vulgar language some players use. This sucks because he can not interact with any other players on the server besides me. Please make this server more family friendly.

Anything that is said on the server isn’t aimed at anyone or intended to be harmful but I do agree that sometimes chat gets out of hand.

Well here is what I have to say about this... Techencally thought PC version I believe does not have an actual age rating the other Minecraft versions do. The esrb rating for Minecraft is E 10+. Now the next thing to look at. Because this is an online commounity we have an agreement range that can be described as 5-99 meaning every age plays here. The majority of the players however seem to be 13+. At the age 13+ i have used "vulger language" I'm not condoning it. But here is the thing what you are asking for is to have us turn into a Christian server (not that it's a bad thing as I am auctually Christian) however if we started banning and muting anyone that uses vulger language or saying suggestive things then there honestly wouldn't be a server. Now the next thing to look at... The parent of any party under 13 legally consents to said party being allowed online (there is a $.10 fee charged to the credit card for people under 13) there fore it is not the server that has to change honestly it's the parenting. If your parents say it's okay then it's okay if you have anissue with the commounity tell your parents hey I don't think this is best for my younger sibling to be on here. And in the end we have the ignore command it's simple and anyone can use it or you can continue to turn off the chat.

I mean i see where you're coming from, but I'd just let him be exposed. I mean it's not like we're offering the drugs and punk music here. So glad you love the server.

As a parent (as if that gives me any more right to an opinion on the matter lmao) My 10y/o used to play on the server. I never censored her chat. I did tell others to be a little more mindful of what they chatted about but that was it. My daughter will hear and probably says some bad words, see kids these days say all sorts of things when adults aren't around. A minecraft server will not be the only place a child will see such words. And if it is, they live in a bubble and need help or they will grow up and move out and be hit by a train called life. No one will call him names, no one will threaten or be rude to your brother. If it does happen, a simple @moderator on discord and we're right there to take out the trash. If the cursing gets excessive, you can also call on staff to tell them to chill out. Don't be afraid to come to us, we're here to help.

I see where everyone is coming from who says "welcome to life" or something along those lines. But there are kids. And it's a game. People can be hurt by swears, but no one hurt by not using them. There are much more friendly/non-vulgar substitutes for swears. Yes, while they may be exposed to swears everywhere else, it doesn't mean that we need to be another source. To summarize: swears hurt/can defile, absence of swears does nothing.

I personally don't really care what happens in regard to this, but I know that some minigame servers (not mentioning names) have some sort of plugin or something that just turns anything questionable into *'s Also, I'm not certain, but I think in Pocket Edition you can't put swearing on signs, although I could be wrong. Again, if people really care to get rid of it, they can ignore people they don't like. Simple as that

This is dumb. We already have a rule that says to be respectful to everyone, and this works totally fine. Swearing is a very handy means of expression. There's literally nothing wrong with it. If swearing or slightly vulgar language isn't acceptable for your little brother to see then so be it. There's no good reason to suddenly disallow something that has always been acceptable (within reason) for a single child. It's always been a part of Simplex, and it's one of the reasons I even bothered playing here in the first place.
