    Hello, my name is Endercat22, and this is pretty embarrassing. I was banned for 7 days at around 5:10 p.m. PST for X-Raying. Honestly, and I know this might not seem true, maybe everyone knows what it means, but I had to idea what x-raying meant. Well, at least until I got the ban. I was told that it meant that I had a mod installed that allowed me to see ores without stone being in the way. I don't have any mods installed, apart from Optifine, which I use to run Minecraft a lot smoother than it usually does. I got this message yesterday (Tuesday) that I was "mining too fast" at around 9:00 p.m. PST, and I wasn't sure what it meant, and I couldn't mine ores anymore. I tried asking the chat, but either no one knew what it meant, or I was being ignored. I thought it was nothing, until this afternoon, when I got banned. I've been laid up from school this week, because I have the stomach flu. Mining seemed like something I could do with little effort, so I mined underground at my Island Base, in an Abandoned Mineshaft manner, at level 10 or so. My diamond pickaxe has been enchanted with Mending and Fortune III, but not with any unbreaking enchants, so to repair the pick without having to use an anvil, I tried mining for ores that gave experience, such as Coal and Redstone. I tried mining in a somewhat straight line, to try and encircle the area around where I originally started mining, and excavate the entire center, which proved difficult, because of the lava beds. I did get very lucky, and found quite a lot of diamonds, and I think I have around a stack or so, lying somewhere in my main base. I purchased an elytra with my newfound wealth. I did play a small game where I gave away diamonds to people who won my Minecraft Trivia game, because I had a lot in abundance which I didn't need. I mined haphazardly, and, after reading the forums, can see why'd that set off some alarms. I felt like it'd be easier to just mine in a straight line until I found some coal or redstone so I could repair my pick, and completely mine around my mine. The Island I was on has been uncharted, and is a rare biome in Minecraft, which might explain why I found resources so quickly. Simplex is the first SMP I've played in a long time. I haven't played other servers as often as I do now. I've invested a lot into Simplex, and I'm barely a Novice. I'm not sure if this is a mistake, or just bad luck, or something else, but I wouldn't treat the server I most enjoy by cheating. Ironically, it's very hard for me to cheat. I'm pretty much unable to do anything right the first couple times. I really enjoy the server, and even if it's just seven days, that's a week without the good people on Simplex. Personally, I'm not sure what to do, I feel confused and scared, because I've been accused and punished for just playing the server normally. I'm not saying Admin has done a bad job, they're just being cautious, and that's understandable. But, I hope they aren't so overcautious, as to ban people who've just barely started. I ask Admin to please provide me with the evidence against me, which I'll explain if I need to, and I'll also explain anything in this appeal that needs questioning. [Confession]: Simplex, KenB021, VeilStar, I've failed you guys. I should've confessed when I first got caught, but now I'm reminded on how lies only work in the short term. Lies hurt people regardless. I did X-Ray, and did it more out of self-pride and thinking that I was clever enough to evade punishment, more than necessity of resources. But, alas, I didn't succeed, and probably for the best, wealth belongs to people who truly work for it. I should be glad that I got a temporary ban, such behaviour warrants a full measure. I've learned from my mistakes. I'm not asking for a reduction on my ban, I deserve it, I'm asking for forgiveness, from the Staff, from everyone. I will always work hard for my own resources, so others who work harder than me don't work in vain. This is my apology and confession. I hope to be back on Simplex after serving my ban.
