Hey so about yesterday I joined this server and started doing the obvious, Mining. Today I woke up and I joined the server and I was banned for xray. I have already had interactions with other players and Have been informed that there is a mining limit, and when that is hit staff will come to inspect your mine to decide whether the mine is questionable or not. As I read in the other threads, There is no 100% fool proof way of determining whether a player is using xray or not. I will take some time to explain my mining method.
I mine in a straight line which one block destroyed on each side alternated. I frequently move to different levels to increase my chance of finding diamonds. I also sometimes mine randomly in different places incase there are diamonds anywhere, I was using a fortune 3 pickaxe, and an efficiency 5 which sometimes mine blocks to fats and made a mess. This is how I found one patch of diamonds because my pickaxe mined another piece of stone where diamonds were. I was only interested in finding diamonds, and I believe all these traits are evident in my mine. Also i hit the mining limit frequently , but only once. Because i tried multiple attempts to mine the same diamonds, So thats why you alerts was full of my name. I was using some mods as well as fullbright, After looking through the rule book I couldn't find anything as so. If fullbright is not allowed, I am extremely sorry for its use as I was not properly informed. This shall never happen again.
I believe that this explanation is sufficient and I should be unbanned. I would never use any malicious hacks. Please Unban me as this is the only good SMP server I have found. And I do not want to wait out the 7 day ban as I have committed nothing wrong. Thanks for reading my appeal.
