Well then.. I've been meaning to write this thread for a while now. I did actually write a sort of version of it which I then deleted. If staff think I've put this thread in the wrong area feel free to move it and sorry if I have.
Now to begin let's go back a bit to a few years ago when I was younger. At that time everyone I knew had minecraft and all they would do is talk about it.For me that was so annoying because I really wanted minecraft and all I wanted to do is play with my friends. After years of nagging and asking my parents, I finally got minecraft in January 2016. But at this time all the people I knew didn't like minecraft anymore and they all thought it was for babies. And remember, I got minecraft to play with friends, so this was really upsetting to me at the time. Over the course of 2016 and the first half of 2017 I went looking for servers to play on. I also got new games apart from minecraft and I played those occasionally too. But I just couldn't find the type of server I was looking for. I was looking for classic SMP, the kind you would get if you just started up a multiplayer world /w friends. All the ones I found were too non-vanilla, too many plugins, too much help given to you, etc.
And then, sometime in 2017, I found simplex.Now this server was everything I was looking for and I fell in love with it at the first opportunity. The community was great and people were so nice, but it still had that classic smp feel. Within a short time I had already created a base and located an area to build my castle ( which is very close to being finished) I got an iron pick off someone for free and went mining with huppa12 or whatever his IGN is. Now, I did X-ray that day. I did not download the X-rays but I willing used them and was fully aware of what it did.
Now fast forward to a short time after my ban ran out. I was mining, and some little voice in my brain was telling me, RulingShadows, ( using that as a substitute for my irl name) why don't you turn on the X-ray to quickly see where diamonds are then pretend to be mining regular. Honest to god I have no idea what was running through my mind or why I was risking a perm ban but I did it nethertheless and I was perm banned. And it hurt. It hurt so very, very bad. You have to understand that at this time I had so many projects planned, I was becoming friends with quite a few of the players and then... poof. It was gone. I went onto discord to share the news and then one of the mods ken stepped in and managed to get my ban time shortened to 2 weeks. I was over the moon. I promptly deleted all X-ray and any hacks from my computer determined to start anew when my ban finishes.
And well, here I am, with only 4/5 days remaining of my ban. But still I haven't gotten to the main point of this thread.
Im sorry. I'm sorry for everything I e done for the all the mistakes I've made for every person I've tricked and deceived, for all my friends who I lied to and didn't tell the truth to. I'm sorry Simplex.
Can we start anew?
