The advent of a New Year is always cause for celebration and for many
people a time for reinvention! So in the spirit of entrepreneurs
everywhere, I'm Simply Delighted to present the Simplex Office Challenge!
Much like November's Apartment Challenge, competitors will be given a
floor plan and will need to decorate, renovate and innovate to create
the super-duperest office the world has ever seen.
Will it be an Austere Law Office? A Soul-Crushing Cubicle Farm? A Trendy
Tech Startup? An Underwater Office?? I can't say, but I sure want to find out!
Current Status: 18/18 Spots filled! Comp is over, voting is open!
Awards ceremony 6PM PST, Saturday Feb 4
Do Note:
- No structural changes allowed. You are not allowed to modify the floor
or ceiling of your unit. Cover it with blocks or slabs or carpet whatever you
like, but you may not edit the floor/ceiling
- Zero Tolerance for grief. Because the GP subdivision goes all the way vertically,
everyone in your tower will have the same trust. This means that everyone is
able to edit on any floor -- competitors found to have edited bricks on another
participants floor will be instantly disqualified. You floor will be marked with a sign
-- that is your assigned space.
The three top polled winners will get to choose from these prize packages:
Flying Monkey: Unb3/Mending Elytra with a stack of LV3 rockets.
Godly Assault: Sword: Unb3/Mend/Flame2/Knockback2 + your choice of Sharp 5,
Smite 5 or Sweep 3, Bow: Unb3/Mend/Infinity/Punch2/Power5, 1 Arrow.
Let There Be Light: Beacon with 164 Iron Blocks, 64 Sea Lanterns and 64 End Rod |

We had a bit of a wait list on apartment challenge even with 13 spaces (up from 10 per on last two comps) so I'll be rolling out a split tower design allowing for up to 21 potential participants. I'll go with an 11-player build at first, and then top up from there. Thinking ~2 weeks is more than enough time for it, and I'd like to kick it off by the weekend....Vee said she can help me lay floors so should be able to open this weekend if there's enough interest.
Registration: 2D for previous competitors, 5D for first-time competitors? I'll easily spend more than that on building mats.
Dates: How Jan 8-21?
Time: I feel like the time for event ceremonies should generally fall at Saturday 3PM PST..... That's 6PM EST and Noon Sunday in Australia IIRC? That seems the combatible-ish? Sat 3pm PST seems as close to 'peak time' as we get, if someone wants to check logs.

nice try haha! i think everyone wants the top floor.... i was thinking pulling out of a hat kinda thing
i should probably do a quick count here, think i'd like to add another pair of rooms up top for an even 20.....and to make the height closer to my main tower

yeah its opposite the apartment build at Teapot City.... it's cyan clay with brown clay accents.
