Sounds like the perfect time to take it indoors with the MisterTeapot Apartment Challenge! In this challenge, participants will each need to design and decorate their own suite in Mister Teapot's brand new Le Chic Royale apartment building! The warp is set up so just hit "/warp comp" to get to the site! The challenge will begin as soon as we register 10 participants*, and will run until Monday Nov 21, 6PM PST. At that point public polls will open, and will be open until the awards ceremony at Sun Nov 27, 6PM PST**. During this period a judging panel consisting of myself, Meehan and two-time people's prize winner sneakykitty will convene to decide the winner of the Judge's Prize. There will be two prizes available for this competition: Head Case - Complete set of Mob Heads - 64 Diamonds Record Master - Complete set of Records - 64 Diamonds As usual, the winner of the judge prize will select first, and the winner of the people's prize will get the remaining prize. A contestant can win both prizes -- the polls are hidden even from us up until they unlock during the awards ceremony. There is no limit to number of competitors, as I can keep adding additional floors as needed. Competitors will need to supply a 5D registration fee; this is waived for previous competitors who have previously paid the fee. Because of the way GriefPrevention works, there are a couple of extra rules to keep in mind: - No structural changes allowed. You are not allowed to modify the floor or ceiling of your apartment. Cover it with blocks or slabs or carpet whatever you like, but you may not modify the light grey clay floor/ceiling or the stone slab balcony. - Zero Tolerance for grief. Because the GP subdivision goes all the way vertically, everyone will have the same trust. This means that everyone is able to edit on any floor -- competitors found to have edited bricks on another participants floor will be instantly disqualified. You floor will be marked with a sign -- that is your assigned space. Well that about sums it up folks, any questions just ask here. * Also assumes I have built enough floors for currently registered users. ** If we end up with any downtime from a 1.11 changeover, I will consider moving this out. UPDATE1: We have 10 participants, and all the floors are built! Permissions are now enabled, so you're all good to go! Also, do note that permissions will be revoked after the comp closes, so make sure you take any extra mats etc when you are done. UPDATE2: We've hit 13 participants already, in only 2 days. Wowzers! Registration is now closed. Good luck to everyone! I won't be adding any more floors, but if there are a ton of people who still want to join, I may be persuaded to build a second tower.
