It was a normal evening, I had spent a couple hours grinding out my second hot air balloon. I had sheared countless sheep, gathered stacks of cacti, and smelted the cacti into a staining pulp. As I labored, my balloon began to take form.
Finally, it was all coming together. The balloon was done, the cover was almost completely done, and the deck was finished as well. I went to light the netherrack when... tragedy struck. I kept hearing fire noises, but I figured it was the netherrack. Turns out, my creation was crumbling before my eyes. Here are some images of the ruin.

I don't know if staff will rollback or if I should just begin building from the rubble, but I thought at the very least others should be aware of what happened.
