Punishment: Jail and Mute - Both 12 hours
Reason: "Language?"
Appeal: I know it's only 12 hours and it'll be up before anyone sees this but I have to complain about the staff member Lord_Phleanix about this as his punishment and duration is completely unjustified. But here's some situational context.
It seems as common tradition to welcome new players to the server. Everyone says, "Welcome!" "Have Fun!" etc. So as a joke I decided to say, "Whale cum to the server!" A guy named Marcus (I can't remember his full IGN) liked the joke as well. But Lord_Phleanix however didn't take kindly to the joke and asked me not to repeat it.
So...I didn't.
Instead, the next player that joined, I said, "Whale come!" This isn't the same joke. It was a whale pun instead of a sexual whale joke. So as I was building up my base, and mid free fall to water below, I get sent to Jail for 12 full hours. Lord_Phleanix was the only admin or op person on the server at the time so I tried to plead my case but he wouldn't have it, and muted me for the same duration. This punishment duration seems very excessive, not to mention he did the same thing to Marcus who didn't even repeat the joke. 5 minutes would have done just fine and I wouldn't have repeated the same whale jokes that Lord_Phleanix does not take a liking to. I'd think it would be much better for a chance for prisoners to plead their cases if the server's punishments are this severe, or to talk to Lord_Phleanix about his justice methods.
Either way, I won't be repeating the same jokes, but I will be carrying a book and quill from now on in case Lord_Phleanix seems to find any other way to be offended by a word I say.
