Talking "nonsense" in chat on an unknown soft-mute.
Appeal:

(sorry some of this message is talking to Emajor, I made the main part before reading the appeal rules)

(I believe the admin to mute me was Emajor) Okay first before anything I'm saying any of this because I'm mad, it's because I really think what happened was unfair.

Yes Cole and I were saying stupid stuff but you never (or I never saw you) told us we were soft-muted at all. Then out of nowhere you muted us both because you got "annoyed" and didn't feel like dealing with it. No one on the server cared or said anything and I (I don't know about Cole) was definitely not truly "spamming". I would have shut the hell up if I knew that you (or anyone) wanted me to stop. Let me know if I was wrong on anything I just said because this is literally my favorite mine-craft server and I love the community and that's more than half the reason I stuck to this server.

Also if I was wrong and did not see Emajor tell us we were soft-muted and should shut up, I'm sorry, but all I recall is literally a paragraph being sent in the chat saying we had been soft-muted for 5 minutes and now he was going to mute us for a week. (even though we didn't know we were soft-muted) Cole and I BOTH did not see any previous warning and I don't really see any true rules we broke considering we were just talking about (yes, stupid) stuff.

If another staff member could give me their opinion that'd be great.

At the bottom of this reply is the (yes, very damn weird) chat thread before Coletastik and I's (Mac318) mute.

Nowhere in those 15 minutes (which I think was more like 5 minutes) Emajor said he soft-muted us did he ever give us a warning.

I'd love if we weren't banned because we annoyed a helper of the server without being told to be quiet.

I think the situation speaks for itself; the 7 day mute stands.

I don't like muting people, I don't want to have to deal with this BS, but if I don't deal with it the community has to suffer through it. You were warned multiple times by multiple staff members, you were given so many chances to just be nice people - way more chances than we usually give. But you insisted on following this course. When the mute ends, show us that you both can be better than this. If you don't we will not hesitate to remove you from our community.

More than three quarters of what you just replied with was Cole "spamming" or "annoying" the chat. I did a little but at the same time, no warning for me except a joking "Okay chill on that topic".
I'm talking with Cole right now and he agrees on his part kind of, but I really didn't do anything that dramatic to deserve a damn 7 day ban. I always "act" like this in chat and NO other Admin or Helper cares. Hell I was messing with Mark a lot yesterday with "wOrSe" stuff than tonight and he didn't care. A simple "shut up or mute" would do, but you played the silent treatment and exploded with a 7 day full mute. I don't like being a but come on dude.

It's just a mute. We have limited tools at our disposal.

* kick
* verbal warning (repeatedly given in your case, with zero effect)
* temporary mute or soft mute (no apparent effect so far, all you did was take the torrent to here since you no longer can in chat)

The only tools left to us are:
* permanent mute
* jail or temporary ban (usually only for actual harm such as griefing, raiding, theft, unwanted PvP, etc.)
* permanent ban (same note as above, but sometimes used when a new player shows they aren't here to play, but are only here to flame chat or advertise)

So you see where you are in our available responses. Do you really, really want to keep pushing this? Or do you want to learn from your mistake, take the 7 day mute, and play on this server?
