Right as if I hadn't heard that excuse yet. Lets dive in shall me: (Slime blocks where diamonds were)

Here you staircase down in a way I've not seen before(outside of xrayers ofc) With all your other staircases in the area, you go diagonally downwards instead you do this, hitting every diamond on the way down. Even so much as to hit those diamonds at the bottom. No lava/water nearby.

Here you pretty much go straight down to these diamonds. True they are by lava but unless the diamonds call out to you, I don't see how you'd be able to know exactly where they were.

Here I combined 2 pictures of the same ore. Where you hit limit alerting staff to your location. I could see "hearing lava and going for it" but you go up a few blocks instead of just going straight and smack right into these diamonds. Standing in the tunnel, its at y12, you would have been safe going out in a straight line as lava is at y11. (anyone claiming to "follow lava or water" to diamonds knows full well what level Lava is common at.)

And lastly, the first diamonds you had mined. again 2 pictures showing the same area. You seem to have been in a ravine and decided to go down instead to this lava? doing right down to those diamonds.

Unless like I said, the diamonds are talking to you, there is no way to be as lucky as this. One does not see diamonds through stone without xraying them. Please keep in mind second time xraying is a perm ban. Thanks and have a nice day.
