Explorers Guild Official Thread
If its out there, we'll find it
Greetings everyone. I've created this guild because I want to find and remember the locations around the overworld made by the players of Simplex still around or long forgotten. These locations include towns, bases, map art, build competition sites and more. I've become fascinated in what other players built on the server so I adventure around the world to find their creations. If you are just like me I encourage you to submit locations you find around the overworld of simplex here in this thread. Anyone can contribute!
If you have a location that you would like to submit use the format I've prepared below in bold. Remember, if you want to submit a location it must have a certain quality, attraction, concern or curiosity to them, they must be interesting in some way and be player made. If you are in doubt ask yourself; Would you visit this place again? Would you show your friends this?
About the Format
Location name - If there is name for the location given already, like if its a the town of "cresthaven" use that as the location name, otherwise give it a name (if unclaimed) or use the name of the player that claimed the location (if claimed). Coordinates: Give the coordinates where you get the best view of the location, where you can get the most infomation about it, or where you think the best starting point is to explore this location is. Screenshots: Please upload at minimum ONE screenshot. Most of your screenshots should show most of the interesting details of the location. If you are using shaders or a non-default texture pack it would be nice if you noted it here. Please no old screenshots only current ones. Feel free to add comments to any of your screenshots.

When you create your post I will put its reference number I assign it on my grid map. I use the coordinates on the grid map to "snap" it to the closest square on the grid. The square that the location is at is approximately where it is in the entire overworld of Simplex. If I find that a location you submitted is insignificant I will not put it on my grid map.

Upon creation of this thread it is open.
I've added a Guild Halls status' section to the thread. I do want to add a a section with a recommended loadout list or a list of items I think would be useful when out exploring with my reasons why but I don't know when I'll get to it, it will come though.

There is no manager position. There is only those who say that they are affiliated with the guild or not.

I recently died while exploring hollliejeans base. I was going to see if they had anything in the nether and I walked on block and fell into lava. I was able to recover some items but I believe most of it was lost to the lava and entitywatch. My notes and stuff were lost, I was about to being a 3rd book. I had more than 50 locations noted going into detail what the main features of each base had. So instead I think I'll just note the coordinates of place, cut down on my note taking and move on.

Quick Annoucement
With my recent death at hollliejeans base I decided to change what location should be noted as people explore.
What I did on my expedition was note of every single player base, claimed or unclaimed; these were mostly house made by new players that never came back. I was mostly taking notes then filling in the map this way. I want everyone to instead note of "Points of Interest". I have an exact definition and examples on the Original Post marked in light blue.
With this change I believe the guilds accessibility has improved since you only note of the important stuff you find along your journey not everything you find thats player made.

I finished my first map...finally. I found some huge base covering an entire Savanna Platuea M biome, the Old Spleef arena, A build comp with "The future is here" as the theme (there were even some names there that I recognized like Veilstar and Kenb21!), and plenty of newbie houses unclaimed or claimed by "administrator". God of Justice tagged along for when I was re-exploring the area I had died and lost all of my notes.   I wasn't doing anything in particular and GoJ brought up exploring and we went off exploring after I was finishing up my business in the shopping district. While scouting around we found the partially built town of Atraisia that had stonebrick walls about 8 blocks tall and 3 blocks thick that surrounded a single Inn and future plots, The plot sizes were small, the biggest I found was a 11x10 the only thing interesting was a path that lead east. Heading east was what we found in the screenshot below from what I gather from all the signs there it was made back in September 2016. Phleanix "The explorer" put a sign say when he was there last which is March 2017, GoJ and myself of course put our names and the date next to Phealnix's in the name of the Explorers Guild.  Despite being off course this was a good find! |
